Ten Thoughts Tuesday ~ Dec 17th (The Last Blog Post Edition)

 ttt

  1. I am both happy and sad today because this is my last post on WordPress…at least for a while. I am taking my leave and will be spending time elsewhere (online and off). I wrote more about it here, if you missed it. I’m happy because it means the start of a new way of living. I’ve been blogging regularly for a little over a year, so this will be quite a change! I’m sad because I will, of course, miss reading and writing posts, and all the interaction I have been used to having. :(
  2. I am sick with a bad cold right now. All three kids were sick last week and over the weekend, and then I came down with it Sunday night. I am very thankful that the virus didn’t turn into breathing issues for Samuel. ♥
  3. I’ve gone ahead and deactivated my Facebook account because I was mostly using it for my blog anyway, and I don’t want to be tempted to start “checking” FB in place of WordPress! ;) I am, and will continue to be, on Pinterest though. You can find my boards here. :)
  4. Maggie is now regularly going to physical therapy for her legs/feet. She was a tiptoe walker for years and now she needs work on her muscles and tendons, to help them gain flexibility. The therapists are confident that most (if not all) of the tightness can be reversed.
  5. I check my email pretty often (a few times a week now), so feel free to contact me at atlantamomofthree@yahoo.com if you ever want to talk.
  6. Don’t forget to enter the two giveaways I have going this week! There are darling fingerless gloves for toddlers, and sweet owl jewelry for babies and toddlers.
  7. Thank you for reading my blog. Whether you’ve been coming back for many months or you just found me, thanks so much for your comments and interest in what I have to say.
  8. I truly appreciate all the friendships I’ve found through this blogging world. It made 2013 an amazing year for me and one I will never forget! Never have I met so many lovely people all in one place, and yet all over the world!
  9. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Postcard Exchanges. It was a lot of fun and a great learning experience!
  10. Merry Christmas! Take care of yourself and your family!!

  1. I will miss you so much Valerie! Although we are miles away and we’ve never met, you’re just like a dear friend to me. I will miss reading your blog and communicating with you! Big hugs!!

P/s: pls drop by to say “hi” every now and then alright? :)

  2. I am sorry you are sick, get well soon! My kids are sick too :( I hope the therapy goes well for Maggie. Good luck! I hope your hiatus will be great, but you will be missed :(
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  3. I am so gonna miss you and your posts! But I am glad I can still reach you through email. Thank you so much for sharing wonderful stories and posts with us. You have been a great inspiration to me.
    *hugs
I’m still going to wait for your return on WP though.
    All the best Valerie!

  4. Valerie! I’m so sad that you are leaving just as I return from my blogging break! :( but as much as I would miss you and your writing, I have to say that a blogging break is great! I realized I spent too much time online and blogging that I neglected people around me. Basically it took too much time from me. So my blogging break really did me a lot of good. It allowed me to recharge and reconnect with people around me and think about what I want to do for my blog. I really hope to see you back soon. Do take care and I really hope to keep in touch. Merry Christmas!! Xoxo

  5. Merry Christmas, Valerie! Thanks for all your hard work and good words this year! Hopefully 2014 will be filled with good things for you (and perhaps another baby blessing)! You know where to find me if you’d like to keep in touch! ~Kelsey
